AI editorial tooling for newsrooms
We build AI tooling that newsrooms actually use — metadata, summaries, SEO, and audio — integrated into the CMS with the editor always in control.
Where AI actually helps a newsroom
After two years of shipping AI features to publishers, the pattern is clear: AI wins where the work is repetitive, structured, and checked before publication — and loses everywhere it tries to replace judgement. The applications that stick are unglamorous: metadata that editors hate filling, summaries and teasers in multiple lengths, SEO recommendations at write-time, audio versions of articles, and translation drafts for multilingual desks.
Metadata and SEO, automated at write-time
Our standard integration lives in the CMS sidebar: as the journalist writes, AI proposes the SEO title, meta description, teaser variants, social cards, and topic tags — each editable with one click before publish. Empty-field rates drop to near zero, and SEO quality stops depending on whether the late shift remembered the checklist. In Livingdocs we deliver this as a native editor plugin; other CMS platforms get the same capability through their extension APIs.
Summaries, briefings, and audio
Article summaries power app briefings, newsletter digests, and homepage teasers — formats that used to require a second pass by an editor. AI-generated first drafts cut that to a review step. The same pipeline produces audio versions of articles, mixed with human narration where the brand demands it. At the publishers we operate, audio is the single strongest daily-retention feature in the app.
Editorial control is not optional
Every AI feature we ship follows the same contract: AI proposes, a human disposes. Suggestions are marked as suggestions, publication without review is impossible by default, and every automated field logs what the model produced versus what the editor accepted. That audit trail matters — to your editor-in-chief, to your legal team, and increasingly to regulators.
Your content, your infrastructure
We integrate AI tooling with the providers and models your compliance allows — including private deployments for publishers who cannot send article drafts to third-party APIs. No training on your content, no data leaving your agreed boundary, and costs that scale with usage you can see in a dashboard.
